Don’t cry because it’s …

Don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened.

Yesterday, K took him for a walk in the morning.  When he came back he commented that Max wouldn’t do his “hang ten” move for treats, which is a little unusual.  I didn’t think much about it since I was working on something.  But this morning, he seemed to stumble out of bed, and wobbled when he walked.  It seems like his back legs are weak, and he can’t control them.  God, I hope it’s not lyme disease.  Or some other major spine thing.  We have a vet appt. in the afternoon, but it can’t come soon enough.  It doesn’t seem like an emergency, because he still has a healthy appetite, and is keenly engaged on our walks.  But the thought of seeing him pass on put me in a bummer mood.
